They have deliberately does themselves with a virus that it’s going to turn every three dimensional, being into a two dimensional one. Under their control and therefore people take over the home dimensions!

Seriously though, I find the biggest problem with puzzles is the GM explaining them. If there aren’t pictures people are limited by their imagination so you get crazy ideas of what exactly is going on.
