I think for this to work you need an agreement between wealthy countries to all apply this kind of tax. This would be an attempt to stop all the accounts from just living offshore.

Not sure if the EU can apply this as a bloc style rule. I doubt the US powers that be would want to, and then other large powers I’d argue have even more questionable ruling classes anyway, but I’m open to being wrong on that last statement.

I’d argue that it’s naive to think we can ever think non-individually as a species. Maybe I’ve just become cynical as I’ve aged and experienced though, not to say you haven’t also experienced - more that, if you have, your experiences have clearly been very different to my own.

I personally feel that a copyright does give confidence to product developers to actually develop products. If they felt they weren’t going to get anything for their work they just wouldn’t bother and our tech advancement would stall significantly.

Any thick accent is hard to understand really. And in almost all parts of the UK there are people with thick accents.

Yeah I don’t know enough about how the US system works. From the media it seems like every high school has a team that draws a crowd.

My experience in the UK system was that even the same secondary school doesn’t consistently have a team for each sport.

Also in the UK, it seems like we don’t get behind our school teams (even whilst we’re in school with them). They’re just seen as something the sporty kids do. But that’s all purely my experience of our school system. Could be completely different in a different city/county.

Yeah but imagine that secondary schools and 6th forms were doing grass roots, then unis were scooping up the best players for their own uni teams.

If we’re having a fight over who can be the most padentic, I’d argue that’s a format issue, rather than order ;)

But then again, I’m a few pints deep now and may just be talking out me arse.
