1 year agoI guess it depends on how predatory animals get nutrition now. Did they develop biologically to go from carnivorous to herbivorous, is it a technological or medical advancement that allowed them to no longer need meat, or is it a BoJack Horseman thing where certain animals of every species is sorted into “Food or Friend” depending on cognitive ability (that may or may not be a result of an injection given at birth)?
Are the dietary enzymes effective 100 percent of the time, with no exceptions? If so, then the death penalty tracks. If not, then are investigations carried out as to whether or not the accused needed to eat meat in order to survive? Do prey animals outnumber predators 10:1 on average like in real life? Are the societies all at a near-equal level of economic and technological advancement? How is the treaty upheld? Do any predators worship humanity’s past on Earth as the ultimate predator? Is there anyone left on earth with a living memory as to what actual flesh tasted like, what it was like to eat it regularly and/or exclusively, or what the adrenaline surge of a hunt felt like? So many questions. I see a massive main series with dwindling side-stories potential.
