  • I feel your pain. It seems these apps have been built by monolinguists, and the language preference/requirement you mentioned are more of an afterthought than, for example, quality/resolution preferences.

For subtitles, at least, a bilingual family needs to have two separate instances of bazaar.

Of course, that’s less than ideal when you start talking about two entire video files when all you want is an additional audio stream.

I’ll be checking back here hoping you’ll find a solution.

  • Yup, and it’s just regular antihistamines. I took seldane for a while until they took that off the market, then it was on to reactine. It was a bit of a slap in the face when the reactine became non-prescription, and therefore somehow not medically necessary according to my insurance provider.

  • When I got married and had a kid, I discovered “trouble swalling pills” is indeed a phenomenon.

I have been taking pills since I was five thanks to my temperature-based allergy. I just salivate when I see a pill. It’s quite inconvenient when I am handling my child or spouse’s medicine.

  • I’d disagree, unless you want to say pop punk isn’t punk (and if that’s what you’re saying, that’s fair).

Stuff like this springs out of acts of popular piety. When you teach that the relics of people in heaven can work as prayer aides, it’s a foregone conclusion that some may want to decorate (or even wallpaper, like the photos of the skulls) a prayer space with the highest class of relics.

This is how altars came to have a relic in a stone that the priest kisses at the beginning of every Mass.

It’s an unanticipated but popular reaction to authority and came from the bottom up rather than top down, ergo pop punk.

Just because something is old enough to become mainstream doesn’t mean it’s not punk. Green Day. Blink 182, et al. started out being labeled as punk before the term pop punk became widespread.
