That indicates that you might buy it if it’s good. The person I replied to implied they would never have purchased it at all.

If you were never going to buy it, why pirate it?
I always viewed Garak as uninterested in anything but intrigue. He was inherently non-sexual to me.
The lizard folk are better than dragons at fitting in the inn.
Something I’ve always liked about White Wolfs d10 systems is the ability to roll a skill against any attribute depending on situation.
If I’m rolling to determine knowledge of religion, int+religion.
If I’m rolling to verify I’m performing a ritual correctly, wis+religion.
If I’m rolling to dodge the advances of the local priest, dex+religion.
I think the difference between Stewart and Ford is that Stewart seems more to be doing it because he enjoys this character. Ford seems to be doing it in spite of his feelings.
As long as Stewart is still having fun, I’m happy with him continuing as long as he wants.
I enjoyed all 3 seasons of Picard. I’ll likely enjoy this movie. It’s always a joy to see Patrick Stewart in a dramatic role.
Those are the days “I only went in for 1 or 2 (20 as it turns out) things”
20 or under to succeed

Faux because he’s not a real person
New in town doesn’t mean unheard of. You could build up a reputation on the way to town that is being passed around by other travelers.
And some if the rumors could be things that happened the night before.
Lucille Ball was a comedian first and an actor second. That’s why.
Data definitely says the hard g. His interests are in being more human. Not pedantically arguing about the way the creator says things in an attempt to upend the majority. The latter is definitely Lore’s jam, though
Be more like Data.
This Is the 1701, Kirk’s. It only had 430 people on it.
Yeah. That’s a different problem. 😁
I was more referring to the idea that subscriptions themselves are the problem.
I’m also ok with subscription prices increasing over time as costs increase. But I completely agree with removing services being a bad thing.
“Cloud” based services I genuinely understand the need for a recurring service model. They are paying for hosting of infrastructure on a recurring basis and a one time fee wouldn’t cover that.
Generally, though. I agree. If I’m running the software locally, I want to own my license fully.
I don’t have numbers to offer but the initial pricing may have been losing them money. Some big companies will offer a service at a loss to get more customers to bite, then when the price hikes hit many of the customers will be used to the service and just sign up for the hike.
He could sense his son.
While true of OP, I was responding to the idea that I’ve could skip the entire first season on the first watch.
The first season is rough but it sets up a lot of things that are touched on in later seasons.
I’d rather just more farscape. Or a whole new IP. My biggest pet peeve with scifi is that they keep hinting at trying new ideas by leveraging old IP just for name recognition.
It’s good for business but bad for creativity.
