the Cure isn’t exactly huge anymore but they did it. All it takes is the artist to have respect for their fans.
The c64 could do all sorts of music over the TV speakers, even voices. Who can forget Impossible Mission “Another visitor, stay a while, stay forever!”
Our new keyless ignition vehicle wouldn’t fully close the hatch with the doors locked and the keys in the car. It would go down half way and play the “I can’t close” noise.
And they were always wary of going into the next country because their sheriff actually had his shit together and would bring the pain to the Duke boys. That sheriff happens to be black.
My first distro was Slackware 4. Now that I’m old and don’t got time for that, I’m running Linux mint on my main PC, 2 raspberry pi OS, and Ubuntu LTS for a Minecraft server.
And Tears of the Kingdom has so much to do in it. Like do I get another 99 poe and find the next statue, or go to bed at a reasonable hour. What do you mean it’s already 2am?
I thought UEFI had replaced BIOS a number of years ago. Or are we just keeping the name BIOS because everyone knows it?

Yes it has some storage built in, enough for about 10 songs. Water blocks em signals quite well so you couldn’t use Bluetooth with any reliability in the water. The mic on these is garbage however, probably because of the waterproofing.
I have the H2O Audio and they work pretty much the same. I got this pair for listening to music while I swim and they are fantastic for that. They last a long time on one charge and loading songs is easy as plugging it in to a computer. Another reason I got these is because occlusion sounds really bother me. I also carry some of those cheap foam earplugs for really noisy environments like plane flights. The foam earplugs don’t have nearly the same occlusion sounds and they block enough noise that you can hear the induction.
Slackware 4. Nothing like having to compile your kernel depending on the hardware you hand-selected for compatibility. Then entering your monitor specs in the config files by hand to get WindowMaker to run correctly.
Not all recycling is useless. Aluminium and glass are two things that benefit greatly from recycling. Recycling aluminum takes 95% less energy than smelting it from ore, simply because it’s such a complex process. And recycling glass is just a matter of re-melting it.
Mirror image specifies that it blocks attacks that are targeted at the caster. Magic missile has no “attack” component, it automatically hits. Mirror image also ignores AoE damage. The specific wording is “A duplicate can be destroyed only by an attack that hits it. It ignores all other damage and effects.”
We just had this discussion at our table on Saturday.
There is a spell for these types of shenanigans and it’s called Mislead
I just checked and I have 3 sets of Shadowrun dice, so over a hundred in just 12mm d6. That’s not even counting the dungeon dice sets I’ve bought since the mid 80s.
Unless they changed something in the last year or so, all the Smithsonian buildings in DC have free admission.
