3·1 year agoI’d be happy if the show could be redone with modern technology. The CGI that was cutting edge when B5 first aired now looks very dated and I think it’s hard for younger prospective fans to get into the visuals.
Are the Rest of Lemmy guys there playing 3D checkers?

It’s hard to discuss zipper merging because people use to justify all sorts of dick behavior. Zipping through an empty left turn only lane to skip to the head of a right turn only lane for example. That’s not an example of zipper merging but there’s tons of people who I’ve seen argue that’s acceptable behavior.
Since people don’t seem to know Bongo Comics, I’d like to point out Radioactive Man
It’s a great comic.
This is a super useful clip. Voyager is one of the shows I’ve retained least well and I couldn’t remember who this holodeck character was supposed to be
6·1 year agoBe careful about praising The Orville the way you are to people who remember TNG very fondly. It apes TNG very closely but also has more than its fair share of Mcfarlane’s Family Guy humor which isn’t for everyone and definitely doesn’t jibe with Trek.
The episode where we first meet the Krill has Lt. Malloy laughing maniacally and constantly at the fact that the Krill’s god is named Avis. This just isn’t that funny and breaks immersion.
McFarlane himself admits this episode was very juvenile and the show gets quite a bit better once he decides to stop going after Family Guy style jokes. Many people won’t watch enough episodes to see the show is worth a chance.

No, binaries were included. That was the main way binaries were exchanged for a time.
Usenet access used to be included by ISPs. It’s been a long time since that was standard. I’m not sure which Usenet providers are worthwhile now.
Does your ISP still provide Usenet access or do you subscribe to a Usenet provider?
Paying $9 a month for Usenet makes me wonder if I shouldn’t just keep paying for Hulu
