Plus one for Porkbun here. DNS management is super easy too. Low prices was also a plus. Got a “.sh” for half of what everyone else I found has them for.

I haven’t seen a car with an aftermarket stereo in a decade but I’m probably speaking from a place of privilege. I do think they’re far less prevelant now though
You seem confused about what a physician is.
physicians (plural noun) a person qualified to practice medicine: “our family physician”
It’s totally normal to see them represented wearing a stethoscope.
Battery tech is so much smarter now this is barely a concern these days, especially for phones. I feel like my modern devices don’t lose any capacity over the 2 or so years I have them.
Are there people that don’t plug their phone in at night? Why?
What you’re experiencing is “summer internet”. All the children on social media, not the adults with loan debt.
If I’m not mistaken NGINX Proxy Manager does all of that too, doesn’t it?
I installed WordPress just to tinker with: https://robotra.sh
I’ve been looking at some static page options as well as some FOSS alternatives, just haven’t pulled the trigger since I’m not super concerned about it.
Ultimately though my primary domain actually just points to NGINX Proxy Manager which hands off to everything else.
I’m a Sys Admin that actually documents so it comes naturally at this point 🤣
I think I’ve got it but I noticed it doesn’t show the UI version like yours?
Edit: I did have to update the yml to use latest. I’m not sure if it’s something with Ansible but when I followed the update steps to update using Ansible it seems to hardcode the version in, not sure where it’s pulling that from.
I am glad they helped! I am new to this as well so after piecing all the steps together I wanted to make sure it was easier for other first timers.
Last silly question, what’s the easiest way to verify my version post-upgrade?
Is there a way to specify latest in the yml file or should I manually enter the latest version?
Edit: don’t foolishly try asking questions from your Lemmy instance after running docker-compose down…
Funnily enough I am gregpxc (the one who posted the noob instructions there) lol
This is probably a dumb question but I used the Ansible install for Lemmy and just did a git pull and --become again but UI wasn’t updated so I assume 0.18.2 isn’t in release yet (which is fine) but is there documentation on updating UI? I see where it’s showing in the docker-compose.yml file but I am uncertain what to do after changing it there (or if that’s the right place to change it).

The folks at Jekyll seem to recommend Talkyard:

I’m not super familiar with this as I was just looking into it myself from your post but figured I’d highlight that for ya.
Edit: seems their link is broken so here’s a working one:
What’s the best away for be to disable the pictrs directory? Is there a setting to flip in my instance?
