Honestly it would be kinda cute, if not for the slang meaning…

As I remember it, reddit got its start when “internet culture” was pretty heavily downstream of 4chan/somethingawful/ytmnd. And pedo-type behaviour was pretty normalized in those spaces.
I’m holding out some hope, since twitch is live but YouTube is pre-buffered, but they could still block loading past the ad on a timer or a key computed from hashing the decoded frames of the ad, idk
