Distros and package managers are bad. Reject modernity, embrace compiled source. Burn Lennart Pottering at the stake!

Resilient filesystems/raid/multiple backup points should be more than enough.
A word of caution on relying on backups without the other types of error prevention you mention: If it takes you a while to notice that bitrot has ruined a file, then it may have already propagated through your backups. The only type of backups that would account for this is archival backups, such as on tape or quality bluray discs.
Thank you for helping make the fediverse a better place.
Actually, yes. JG Wentworth does cash advances and I’m assuming they are just as predatory as the rest of them. I doubt Europe has title loans and payday loans like the US, or so I would hope.
Anyways, JG Wentworth has commercials that are inherently meme’able where it starts with “it’s my money and I want it now!” and is followed by all the extras in the scene suddenly breaking into song about cash advances.
Haven’t played any GtA games in this decade.
Don’t worry, they only released one game this decade and it was 9 years and 11 months ago.
Win7 also had issues, but it felt much more usable for professional use
What issues did you have? I remember it only being light on resources, stable, and aesthetically pleasing. The UI introduced snap-to-edge, which was such a game changer at the time and really makes Windows versions before it feel archaic in comparison. It was the last Windows version before the layout of settings stopped making sense.
I’m sure this is just rose-tinted glasses so I might be ignoring some issues, but I can’t recall anything in particular.
Finally the first good DLC for names. The last update turning Leonardo into just Leo really broke the immersion.
Wait, all of that for just a Boolean true value or is that some sort of logical expression?
