Signal is great but Signal ≠ RCS
Text messaging market in EU is totally different from in the United States. This is because US texting was cheap always— not so with the EU.
Downloaded out of curiosity but my Micro-G based ROM isn’t supported.
The app sadly doesn’t appear to be FOSS and thus not on F-Droid, but I did check it out. Streisand effect? Or not apparently it was removed over semantics.

That looks like it’s stopped being developed too. Connect You, a Contacts app originally, is adding SMS support— but right now it kind of sucks, so we probably want to wait a bit for development.
Having a cohesive color scheme that matches one’s wallpaper is aesthetically pleasing. If you would like to manually select a color, you already can in the color sections select a color. If you would like more control, I suppose there is Repainter.
