Now that I want to DM again many of my players came to prefer virtual over in person. It makes me sad because I could do stuff like this now without too much effort. What gives?

Well, I wouldn’t call it a “brain dead take”. I usually keep an Android and an iOS handset and I view each with a set of drawbacks and payoffs. The former (usually) allows you to unlock the boot loader without drawbacks and the latter does not. The latter is exclusive to a set of hardware. So if you want to have iOS you’re consigned to using the hardware deemed acceptable by Apple — but if someone were to accomplish “the brain dead take” a whole host of hardware would be available to you. There’s utility to that for some people.

What reason would there be to enable notifications?

Weird, my Pixel 6a currently doesn’t have a persistent notification when I use Proton. Is this a GrapheneOS thing? Just curious.

Voyager has been good. Not perfect, bit good.

Not a problem. Also FOSS orgs pay their devs as well. Off the top of my head OS developers with a large userbase often pay their devs through donations to foundations that fund the project. Often donors are companies as well, but it gives a developer the option to get paid without working for a massive company.

(I suppose indirectly they do, but that’s a whole different ball of wax)

I don’t understand. I reread back to the top comment and went down the chain. They made a rhetorical question about how devs of software being paid. Someone clarified the definition of Foss. Then there was a an inquiry about how someone could make a living with FOSS software and another commenter claiming millions do it (which a majority are these exact devs I pointed out).

I simply gave the list, that’s all.
