The frog is being used by a lot of people tho. I have many friends and colleagues who use it for whatever and they’re definitely not Nazi’s. Not everything being used by idiots needs to be instantly banned, they don’t deserve that power
If I get the context right then he’s a traitor, but I cannot deny that the outfit is pretty cool
Lemmy generally attracts the same kind of person that would also use Linux. Both of them are open source and community driven alternatives to software otherwise provided by large corporations and milked for every last cent. Both of them require just a bit more knowledge in order to comfortably use them. Linux with all the distro’s and desktop environments, Lemmy with all the instances and apps/front-ends. We’re very much a bubble here.
Either lawful or chaotic neutral depending on whether I can find the clip again. But I doubt it matters since I store it in the freezer and heat the slices I need when I need them.
I also eat pretty much the same breakfast every day. For lunch I can vary what’s on the bread and the type of bread. That’s just how things are here. It’s not the nicest, but it saves a lot of time and money and can also be quite nice
I try to steer as many people as I know to Signal, but I don’t want to be the type of person who accepts no compromise so I also use a bunch of others. Whatsapp is the most common, as pretty much everyone here in the Netherlands uses it. I used to use Telegram, but nowadays I trust it less than Whatsapp and all my Telegram chats have moved to Signal. SMS is only there for backup and older people who don’t use other apps. And Discord is there for people who want their messages to never be read, because that app is a dumpster fire that constantly makes me miss messages.
Here in the Netherlands a lot of people just eat sandwiches. I usually take them with me to work. Not a lot of effort
Maybe the phrase “white ones are better” triggered some moderation bot?
No, people just don’t like crypto because it’s a huge waste of energy that has no use for the average person at the moment and is only used by rich people to get richer without much regulation. Don’t get me wrong, it might definitely be useful when used correctly in the future. Not wasting as much energy by ditching proof of work, becoming actually useful for normal transactions, etc. But right now it’s just an overhyped technology for obnoxious cryptobros.
I’ll be 30 this year and see no reason to stop, nor do most of my friends around my age. Most people stopping around my age do so because they have kids and therefore barely any time or energy.
Apparently i’m almost 3 inches taller than average. So somewhat better but still scary
This scale is totally wack. The feet of the human bodies in the graph don’t start at 0 but somewhere between 4 and 5. Such a bad graph. That being said, we Dutch people are very tall and powerful and you should be terrified >:3
This happens quite often to me, especially when tired. I’m assuming that for me it’s mostly autism related. That being said, I’ve noticed that many non-autistic people also have this happen every now and then., it just happens more for me.
Okay this is disgusting. It’s only gonna make people’s money problems worse. If you can’t pay for a domino’s pizza out of the pocket, maybe it’s a better idea to go for something cheaper like a freezer pizza from the supermarket. Most people picking this option will be making a mistake.
My 10 year old laptop (which has been running Linux for 9.5 years now) has an SSD, so it’ll restart in a normal amount of time. Even old laptops no longer have HDDs only
That depends on the person. I’m autistic and for me it’s just a moment to minimise stimuli and recharge a little bit. No fear involved, just a little overstimulated and in need of a reset.
Ever since getting COVID in 2020 my nose is basically 2 like 70% of the time. Painfully dry, completely useless at filtering anything. It depends greatly on the humidity and temperature though. In spring/summer it tends to behave a bit better.
I’m not so sure that the laypeople will, but I do expect a shift. Personally I’m still running Windows 10 next to Linux currently. Most of my time is still spent on Windows, because it’s generally a bit more stable and hassle free due to the Windows monopoly. Software is written for Windows, so sadly it’s usually just a better experience.
But so many things I read about Win 11 (and beyond) piss me off. It’s my computer, I don’t want them to decide things for me or farm my data. I’m mentally preparing for the transition to Linux-only. 90% of the software I use will work out of the box, and I think with some effort I can get like 8% of the rest to work. It’ll be a lot of effort, but Micro$oft has pushed so far that I’m really starting to consider.
Multiple friends and colleagues (all programmers) I spoke are feeling the same way. I think Linux may double in full-time desktop users in a few years of this goes on.
Yeah but we can estimate how much it may or may not happen
