I was only allowed 1 or 2 new games per year so I played non-stop. I took my Gameboy everywhere. My mother saw something on TV at the time saying that games improved hand-eye coordination so she encouraged me to play like crazy. That might have helped haha.
Yes!
Still have it. I asked for a game for my birthday that year. At the last minute I said I wanted ST instead. My mom took back the game she had and swapped it for this. I played it like crazy. Although it wasn’t until last year that I realised how to beat the Borg.
I’m a Boimler though
Logically, there is but one choice
This happened to me on a Nokia device as well. It went on for months. You might have to get on the Nokia Discord for more info, but it might be related to geography.
When it happened to me, the update downloaded and there was an error installing until the rollout date for my country. Then, it worked.
If I were you, I would try and confirm with other users of the same device in the same country as you if the update is installing.
Do smartphone benchmarks matter?
Maybe? I look at them from time to time. For most people it is just a number and it is nice for an average user to confirm that the new phone is a little better than the previous.
I recently beta-tested a device (been using it since May). And I ran some benchmarks on it. I noticed that someone else was also benchmarking the device before and after pushing updates. So, I feel that there are companies out there trying to perform well on the benchmarks.
Are they still a useful reference and do you consider them when shopping for an upgrade?
I’m mostly concerned about the following, in no particular order:
Bloatware removes many brands from my list of potential devices. Yes, I could use adb
to remove them, or maybe even root my phone, but I shouldn’t have to buy a device with Facebook baked in.
Oh, I should know this haha, I made the last edit on that page…
Cool. I also iluse Alpine as my desktop.
Question though. When I use Xfce, I don’t have a network monitor in my systray. What did you install to make this work? Or did you jus use the setup-desktop script?
Good for them. The Murena One was just a rebranded OED. This one is interesting, because of the switches, but the processor isn’t exactly brand spanking new.
Choices?
Nice. I will have to check out sioyek after.
Neat. TIL.
You took the words out of my mouth. I don’t even know who this guy is really, I’ve seen some of his videos, but having access to all of your account stuff is… nah
A 300MB apk file? It is on Google Play. No F(L)OSS license. Other apps by the same developer (futo) seem to contain no trackers. Probably nothing to worry about, but how many video platforms does the average person use? I look at YT and a small handful of peertube instances.
I can hear Riker in my head. Weird.
I have material files, but I use Total Commander the most. It is overkill but useful when I have to move stuff around on a server. It has an F-Droid Repo too, so bonus.
This is my bath face. At just tall enough to be called tall I am too tall for some bathtubs. Or, by the time it is full I don’t want to bother. Or the water is cold after 10 minutes.
I was under the impression that all of the so-called “cleaner” apps were to be avoided. I take this was one of the good ones?
Edit: re-read article, it sounds like it was one of the good ones.
I don’t have Netflix but it look like it is on Canal+ as a VOD option… So not really streaming but it is there.
