I am not interested in being preached at unless you have a workable alternative and a good reason why should I switch over.
Novice GMs are bad at improvisation and don’t know to prep effectively, hence the railroady nature of the games they run. If you have a GM like that, buy a copy of “The lazy DM” by Mike O’Shea for them.
On an unrelated note, I really like the saturated color palette of early color TV shows. When did we decide that the default color palette should be awash in cold blue?
I like how corny it is, it fits the “pioneers on an exploratory mission” perfectly. Having a bombastic orchestral theme pre-federation makes no sense, the first Enterprise is a sitting duck for just about any starfaring culture, they got boarded by the Ferengi one time, ffs.
Such as? Newgrounds is great for animation, but everyone else suffers with YT.
Why not both? I can disdain YouTube for shitting on creators while refusing to pay for subpar service.
The price of food items has gone almost 50% up during last year, the wages are not keeping up with inflation, and I already pay for utilities and internet. I ain’t paying shiiiiiiiit.
Moral reasons
🙄
A corporation can blatantly violate the law, bribe politicians, ignore its TOS whenever its suits them, but a second somebody wants to use a heavily subsidised service without being assaulted by advertising, a gaggle of concern trolls pop up to lecture about “stealing service”. Buddy, simping for Alphabet will get you nowhere.
Youtube constantly demonitizes content creators, while protecting doxxers and content thieves. I will not be giving them a single red cent.
“Crew of Enterprise finds out they’re characters in a TV show” sounds like a genuine concept for an episode.
How do you manage to go through life without watching a single episode of Trek? It has numerous seasons and spinoffs, and it is constantly in syndication. Do you avoid broadcast TV in entirety?
Rolemaster was a bloated mess that could’ve only been made in the 80’s. Nobody with any amout of sense plays it nowadays.
Crit fails on skill checks have been houseruled into the game for ages, this is not something cooked up by Larian
Why is discord so popular in non-gaming circles? People use it as a shitty, bloated and centralized IRC clone, with the voice fuction being completely ignored.
A little bit of scolding from the MD is worth it.
I was about to ask if AmaroK is any good these days, but then I realized it’s the LibreWolf logo.
It started out as a fun romp where the federation was the underdog, them quickly spiraled into temporal war nonsense. Should have been more episodic.
Flat distribution is great when you want swingy results and the drama that comes with it, and bell curves when you want a “realistic” chance of your character succseeding on a task roll.
That’s a weird way of spelling “I cast fireball”.
