Do you have any non-Play AOSP suggestions that run on less popular devices? Everytime I hear about a newandroid distro it’sostly for Nexus phones and a few other popular phones. I have e. g. a Wiko Power U30 thats okay (and mostly cheap) that I would love to use with something better.

I get it that companys like that one have smaller margins than big tech, but 1000 $ for that phone? Why does not a single of these FOSS/privacy/degoogle companies offer a budget phone around 300 bucks? I don’t need a device that runs crysis in 4K, I just want to communicate, browse the web, answer mails, and take okayish photos on something different than big tech spyware.

I’m using it as well. For me it was a great entry point to Linux. I wanted to start with Arch or a Arch distro right out of the box and Garuda works like a charm for setting up and maintaining everything. I will try setting up Arch by myself for the next time, but for now it’s perfect for me.
