I was really wondering if I had missed something about Anne Frank.

Mine would be made in Germany if I bought it. I think it’s more a matter of taxes/lobbying and all that, all cars are more expensive here.
It’s $30k in the US?.. I’d be looking at 43k€-ish here ($47k)… Corolla is even more…
I don’t hate it, I’m sad about it because it could be so much more.
To be fair if they’re able to locate the point of origin they’re probably able to calculate the time it took to get there as well as the current position of our galaxy.
Right, it’s a blessing and a curse. I certainly get a lot more done in my general life since I started becoming like this as I get older, but catching up on borrowed sleep has become much more difficult.
Yes! It’s almost exactly like that. I only use it to sharpen a couple of “nicer” kitchen knives I use for cooking, we don’t even bother with butter knives or other ones, and the cooking ones are decent (German) but nothing crazy either.
Are these the ones with the angled V shaped thingy? I have one where you put the knife through three different coarseness levels and it works good enough for me. I’m sure I’d fuck the blade up with real ones.
If if wasn’t American, I’d say nationalise it. Maybe at some point we’ll need some kind of international version of nationalising.
Ooooh how is NZ TV? I love myself a good bit of British TV including OG taskmaster. I tried the Australian one but as with most Australian shows I find them too “Americanised” with over-dramatic editing and sob stories. Is NZ a bit more natural and low-key in their shows?
For me “skibidi-bap” is a vocal flourish I’d hear in dub or reggae, like, not as classic as “booom selecta” or some others but it’s up there.
Or jam, grapes, etc.
It’s at Teahupoo in Tahiti, for having witnessed it up close on a big day myself, I can confirm that place will chew you up and spit you out (if you’re lucky, in that order)
I’m gonna give it a go after this current job is delivered!
Do you sacrifice anything performance-wise by having the dual-boot?
After not even two years my beast pc I have for work has started giving me BSODs, apps crash, etc. Tried a bunch of stuff to troubleshoot hardware side, software side, short of buying new expensive parts like ram etc to test, or reinstalling the OS.
I do mostly video editing, sound editing, and Photoshop+Lightroom mainly, with some 3D, vector and stuff like that here and there. I think most of my software runs on Linux except the Adobe stuff. I’m curious to try Linux see if it would solve some of the problems but afraid that even the dual booting stuff would still be a pain if I need to switch between PS+LR to other tools a lot.
Been thinking about that since EV were just getting started. Of course it means you’d need to create new standards, get all the manufacturers and gas stations to use it, etc. But I really don’t see why it couldn’t work that way, park the car over the system, empty battery comes off and full battery goes in, pay a monthly subscription or something.
Especially if we’ve been away longer our cat will just go nuts for us for days. Even just coming home from work she’ll come say hello and maybe give us a couple roll-arounds to greet us. I get that it’s not quite as obvious as dogs though and previous cats I’ve had were not so affective.
Can you imagine the moon landing was closer to 14 AD than we are?
