I watched the movie a couple of years ago and I still don’t know how it connects to Danganronpa

This is very innacurate to the lore, you see in Yugoslavia, Goli Otok was actually Jabberwock island and was used for punishment of reactionaries where they would be put in a killing game by Monokuma, which means that Monokuma was allied to the government. Then you forgot FnaF gang(Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Golden Freddy, Mangle, Marionette, Balloon Boy etc) which would be allied with Monokuma and therefore Junko through Freddy and Monokuma’s connections being cousins, but that’s besides the point since they were also allied to the government as seen in historical records of Freddy killing fascists at Bleiburg in WW2, being sent in Afghanistan in 1980s and potentially assassinating JFK(it could be that he was just a witness in that photo but the chances that he did it are also high since why would he be located there at that moment?). And lastly virgin Hajime would never fight with Junko, that would be chad Izuru Kamakura who is also practically unstoppable and do I even have to mention Nagito who is obsessed with hope?
