I love the Genesys system because it’s designed specifically to homebrew any genre of setting you want (including custom magic systems), along with multiple official settings.
It is so easy to take NPCs, items, etc, from fantasy to sci-fi to current day, to post apocalyptic, etc. Since the rules and stats are intentionally setting agnostic.
And I absolutely love the narrative dice system.
If OP likes plating a variety of settings it’s worth checking out. Or one of the billion other games out there
That is my biggest gripe with modern windows. The OS itself is pretty decent, but WHY am I paying at minimum $100 and seeing ads all over the start menu? Even with a vanilla MS sourced USB there are so many bloat apps. It didn’t used to be that way.
I set up a PC for recording in a sound system and got a fresh install of Windows 11 on a custom PC and it was still super bloated with garbage games and a video editor that watermarks footage instead of the perfectly functional basic software they used to have.
I am in the process of repairing and setting up an old macbook with Linux since it stopped getting Apple updates. When I get a new laptop I will likely go with Linux there as well.
Thanks for following up! That is really interesting
Sounds good! It’s definitely been a while since I watched that episode. We are currently re-watching TNG and I really don’t feel like taking a break from that to watch DSC lol. No offence, Dr Stamets 😅
It was kind of talked about on Discovery with Georgiou after they went to the future. The universes were drifting apart, and because the mirror universe was no longer aligned with the primer universe in whatever year Discovery ended up in, Georgiou was not able to maintain cohesion and had to go back in time. link
I may be misremembering headcannon as an actual line from the episode but I seem to remember hearing that the mirror universe was the one that was the closest to them on the space time continuum. The fact that they were both aligned is why people could travel between them and not others.
Not sure if I’m missing something but I do not have that last scene at all. I even rewatched the last few minutes and I do not see the gorn hatching. The last I see of Batel is Chapel engaging the stasis field, her arm squirming a bit, and that’s it. The actual last scene for me is Pike on the bridge unable to give orders. Are there multiple versions of the episodes?
Kira doesn’t care about regulations
