So you’re saying I should make friends with people who also intensely dislike people?

Totes, I wasn’t disagreeing
Did a gastrolith write this?
I’m not above being petty, so lemme just say she looks exactly as I expected.
The only way forward for Dems is to drop all the old guard. They’re all remnants of a different time, and the world has moved on.
I brought that up, literally minutes ago. 100%
Biden was getting trounced. The party was embarrassed, so they made a bunch of backroom deals and sharpened their knives. Then Liz Warren stuck her blade in Sanders’ back on live TV.
Are you kidding? The DNC circumvented the entire primary process to give us ANOTHER “anointed one” and, again, possibly the worst candidate possible to create the coalition that has always been Democrats’ bread-and-butter. They even had Hillary go down to FL to lecture voters, while Bill went to Michigan to preach to Muslim communities about why the war in Israel is right. It’s a fucking lampoon of strategy.
Every single DNC “elite” should retire from politics, today. They’re losers, and losers lose. Because they never learn from their mistakes, which is what is required to win.
Hubris. Democrats lose because characters like RBG and President Biden simply could not fathom that stepping aside was ALWAYS what they should have done.
These miserable fucking dinosaurs have gambled away the good intentions, hopes, and stability of the entire nation because their internal mantra was that they are our political saviors, while everyone under 50 was full-throated screaming that they needed to step aside.
Fuck all you geriatric, foot on the gas, oblivious, incompetent fucks. If (big if) we ever regain our Democracy, the first thing on the agenda should be AGE CAPS for all public offices. Elderly fucking hubris has doomed us to more misery.

If you don’t feed them, they’ll just sit there and overreact to ANY movement you make.

Western society is incredibly isolating.
Completely understand your viewpoint. I’m also aware though that there is a heavy saturation right now (at least in the DMV, which has historically been a bellwether for the greater economy) of both IT and bioscience/biotech industries. Both fields that also require very smart, educated, and experienced workers. So, I’m saying that things can shift quickly, and workers are always on the losing end, so it pays to note how the winds are blowing, regardless of current status.
I think your focus is too narrow and your anger and need for someone to be punished for the awful systems that we are forced to survive within are clouding your ability to see the larger picture specific to the necessities of survival.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but you sound like you’re speaking from a place of privilege, and I am allowing room for the realities of this current-state existence.
As I said, conflating two separate things. It doesn’t void the validity of either to acknowledge them.

Yeah thanks for the insight
I was just making a joke, but you’re right- it’s a learned coping mechanism from iteration after iteration of excruciating relationships.
I find most people are deeply selfish and lacking in awareness, and generally unobservant to the physical and metaphorical world around us. Eventually, it simply easier to withdraw and try to be content with online human interaction, and real life experiences with my family and my dog. Community comes with too many strings and demands that I present as someone not myself- at least in all such attempts to-date. When I was younger and it felt more necessary to participate, I dulled society with booze and weed. Now I prefer to see clearly, though perhaps still missing the clarity that others innately possess, in social scenarios.
