New Jersey uses taxes and tolls.
If you do, you should take a leisurely kayak or canoe trip down one of the little rivers in the Pine Barrens. Very relaxing and somewhat unique in that the water has a red tint from the cedar trees (what we call “cedar water”).
Tuna with saltines or rice or in sandwiches is pretty affordable, too. That was my good go-to. Then of course there were things like toast with butter and garlic powder. Maruchan ramen, naturally (none of that Top Ramen nonsense). Oh, and french fries! A potato is cheap.
I taught a bunch of Gen Zers back when they were in high school. None of them knew how to type well, and it was a rarity that any of them knew how to type at all. I was supposed to teach them things like Microsoft Office, but we had to start with typing and basic PC usage before we could move on to something as complicated as MS Word.
This is what happens when people don’t use computers and instead just use cell phones.
I use one to protect my bread products from pets.
I had to switch to using a bread box because my dog would eat anything on the counter, and I didn’t really have anywhere else to store my bread/bagels without really rearranging my limited cabinet space.
That dog was ravenous. She even ate a whole crab once, shell and all. I learned my lesson.
Can someone explain like I’m five how Waymo has robitaxis without drivers behind the wheel and automated driving such as that offered by Tesla is not yet able to do the same?
Is it just that Waymo has mapped a small area really, really well? What’s the difference? Why is Tesla so bad at it but Waymo is able to do it?
Everything bagel, cream cheese, capers, smoked salmon
You said you’re “not about to click on it”, which is implying that you think it is not a good news source.
Asahi is perfectly legitimate and one of Japan’s largest news organizations.
Just because you haven’t heard of something doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it.
Guess that just didn’t bother me, but yeah, which you do first didn’t make a difference in terms of swallowing. It’s all about tilting the chin down to open the throat.
Tilting your head down can actually help with swallowing by a lot.
Insert pill. Put liquid in mouth. Tilt chin down. Swallow.
Source: have dysphagia, can only swallow pills and other hard substances by tilting head down
They were so concerned about whether they could that they didn’t stop to think if they should.

TIL Microsoft has a handheld gaming platform.
They ruled that, for tax purposes, it counts as a confectionary because of the high sugar content. They did not rule that it is literally cake.
Shortly after I returned to the States from Fukushima (a little bit after the disaster), I was taking an emergency response course on radioactivity. Everybody there got to use a Geiger counter on themselves and their belongings and various things in the room. The only thing that set it off was the purse I had brought back with me.
Anecdotal, obviously, and it wasn’t highly radioactive, but I did get rid of the purse.
