1 month agoI wish I could by train to work. I honestly wouldn’t even mind the noise if I had the option to take a train. I bring my noise cancelling headphones everywhere so I doubt I would even hear it.

too late now, I wiped it with a nice EndeavourOS install ages ago
winget doesn’t even work properly. I tried installing gcc with it and it installed some random chinese package.
I was given a phone quite young but completely discarded it after I bought myself a thinkpad. No need for it when I can be comfortable on my Arch setup. I think the amount of brain damage could be severely reduced if they only had access to a family PC or something. Most kids probably wouldn’t even touch the PC until way later.

Yes but under the hood, IOS is using a filesystem. Hiding helpful details is not the same as simply being a different way to use a computer. One actively makes the computer harder to use.
Others say Ken Thompson wrote Unix in three weeks. One week for the editor, one for the assembler and one for the file system.
3·1 year agoSpotiflyer/Soundbound works great for me.
I personally use MetroPlayer and downlpad songs with spotiflyer. Spotiflyer just takes a link whether it be spotify or youtube and downloads it. You can put the link of your playlists or just individual songs. Some songs might give errors when downloading from spotify so if that happens use youtube as a backup. I have only had 6 songs fail so far with a playlist full of 700 songs.
You can put your config files in a git respository. Or alternatively share a link to that wallpaper. Thanks in advance.
