I’ve recently turned off all apps (including google) permission to draw over other apps and that seems to have stopped it for me, on Pixel 8.

Article mentions 3rd party launcher gesture issues, but I’ve never seen this problem. I used to use Nova but switched to Smart launcher for the blur, but at no time have gestures been an issue. Any ideas what they mean?

Brave has added a feature to explicitly enable MV2 apps and install uBo directly from Brave settings. You can also install uMatrix and Adguard MV2 versions also.

Um, if you’re security minded, you’re already staying far away from Authy, so I’m not really sure what the article’s focus is.

That said, I’m using 2fa all day long on Grapheneos. No issue. And prior to Grapheneos, I ran rooted and had been using Authy with no issue, so this kind of sounds like an advertisement piece for Authy.

So they get to keep their Ad Privacy malware and cookies. Sounds like that was their endgame.

But from the very beginning years ago, it was understood that when you post on these types of sites, the data is not yours, or at least you give them license to use it how they see fit. So for years people accepted that, but are now whining because they aren’t getting paid for something they gave away.

Debian comes with ESR only. You have to add repos to get standard or beta.

Yeah my comment was misunderstood. I was primarily referring to Debian, which installs ESR. If you want the up to date version, you have to add repos and such.

What I meant was like with Debian, which is what I use right now, you get Firefox ESR, which isn’t good if you want a reasonably updated browser and features.

To get it, you have to add a repo, ideally remove ESR, etc.

Actually that method in the picture no longer works, but there is a better, though still convoluted, method.

Of course, have fun adding repos and installing better versions of browsers in Linux.
