We don’t really know how much of Airiam’s internal organs remained. Unfortunately we barely learned anything about the character before she was killed to try and provoke a reaction in the audience because they showed us some flashbacks that same episode.
The last two episodes that I watched were a bit of a pain in the butt… Basically rewarching the first episode, but with breaks, while Spock is suspected of treason. It’s not too long since I watched the first episode so felt a bit too repetitive
Sounds like you watched a distro that included the original pilot (The Cage) as the first episode, whereas in the og season that aired, that episode never aired and was instead recut by Rodenbery later with new trial footage as The Menagerie two parter. Really creative use of discarded footage to stretch the budget and introduce background canon for Spock and the Enterprise crew.
I don’t know why they didn’t just give Pike a robot body like Airiam.

Haven’t reached that episode yet
Star trek rookie starting with the original series. Still on season one!
Wow - it’s a long road until you reach that episode.
But I’m so jealous, you’re watching everything for the first time - what a dream

But otherwise I am enjoying myself quite a lot!

That makes a lot more sense! Thanks
Even in death I still serve
