It seems easily done. The only snag I see is getting poop on the camera. Ideally you’d drill a hole and mount a lens flush. But drilling curved porcelain is a bitch.
Cameras are so tiny these days, I don’t know what kind of toilet you have but you could most likely fit a car reverse camera in the underside of the lid

Record video, place phone at junction of open lid and back of seat, lean forward and rise slightly while doing the deed…
Then backup to cloud and submit to some arthouse film festivals. “Brown On The Silver Screen” if you’re lucky.
